Bluemar Shipcare LLP was formed in May 2026, with its head office in the Delhi NCR region and a branch office in Chennai.

The firm was founded by a team of senior Class 1 marine engineers and a senior mechanical engineer.

Mr Mahesh Garg — Founder and Managing Partner. A senior Class 1 marine engineer with 34 years' experience at sea and ashore, of which 25 years as Chief Engineer and senior technical superintendent or senior manager with multiple shipping companies. He has wide experience in dry-docking supervision of crude oil tankers and Capesize bulk carriers across multiple dry docks, newbuilding supervision and take-over, second-hand vessel take-over, oil tanker vetting inspections, bulk carrier RightShip inspections, Flag and PSC inspections, all types of class surveys, and pre-purchase inspections. This has given him broad exposure to the shipping industry's needs and to national and international regulations.

Mr Vijay Nathan — Partner. With a professional background in mechanical engineering, he has extensive experience in the marine safety industry across Houston, Singapore and India, with both marine safety service providers and ship management companies. He began his career as a service engineer on board vessels, carrying out marine safety inspections and maintenance, and worked closely with ship owners, ship managers and classification societies. In Houston he was instrumental in establishing and expanding marine service operations for a large service company, and he later gained deep experience with a ship management company, building strong relationships with marine safety suppliers and service providers.
